About Me

Mr. Vimal Kumar VARUN obtained his M.Tech. in Textiles from The Technological Institute of Textile & Sciences, Bhiwani in 1988. Then he joined J.K. Synthetics Ltd, Kota and looked after coordination of production, quality, waste control, production planning, material balancing, work allocation & labour handling. He also participated in Commissioning of PTA route of polymerising Polyethylene Terephthalate. He has developed a Management Information System for Polymerisation, Spinning & Fiber Line departments.

He has also qualified Export Marketing (Certificate Course) from Indian Institute of Foreign Trade, New Delhi in 1991.

Presently, he is working as Scientist 'E' in Department of Scientific & Industrial Research (DSIR), Ministry of Science & Technology, Government of India and looks after Technology Development and Demonstration Programme (Electronics, Communications and Information Technology), Technopreneur Promotion Programme, Technology Information Facilitation Programme and IT & e-Governance. He is designated as Central Public Information Officer under the Right to Information Act, 2005 and looks after its effective implementation and operationalization in the department.

He has intensive knowledge of MS-DOS & UNIX OS and also familiar with use of variety of softwares like statistical, database management, word processor, DTP & Graphics. He has developed skills in the use of CDROMs & Online Information retrieval. He also has indepth experience to INTERNET, WWW, HTML, etc. and developed Websites for ITT Newsletter, Cash Section (MST).
